Re: T_Y's Build Log
Update time! So, Hello, World!'s chassis is coming along nicely. The brackets are now printed out with 90% infill compared to the previous 15%, so they should hopefully survive more than one hit from a spinner! The redesign of Percussive Maintenance is going well. I've cut out all the polycarbonate ...

Re: AWS56 - 13th October, Bristol
Signed up for this with two bots! If I find enough time to put together the third idea I have, I might enter that too. Looking forward to it!

Re: T_Y's Build Log
I was thinking of doing 4 motors, but I haven't really thought it out yet - I'll have to do some calculations on weight and space before I finalise the design.

Re: T_Y's Build Log
@voorsk I'm going for 4WD, I've got a NanoTwo that will do nicely in that bot. I need to work out the specifics of the mechanism for the lifting arm first! Hammer/axebots are good! Like 4 bar lifters and front hinged flippers, they're not too common in antweights. I've drawn up the brackets for Perc...

Re: T_Y's Build Log
It's been a while since the last update. Gonna lay out my plans to prepare for AWS 56. So, first things first, I still haven't repaired Hello, World! since Robodojo, so that's the first task. I'm happy with the deign, it just needs stronger brackets. So I'm gonna up the fill percentage and make them...

Re: Team Antiquarian build diary
Looking nice, your son and his friends are bound to enjoy battling little antweights! Regarding connectors, I think they should be fine. In one of my bots, everything has Dupont connectors with 22awg wire (aside from battery connection which is JST), and I haven't had any problems so far. It's worth...

Re: T_Y's Build Log
So I've just got back from Robodojo which was great fun! It was awesome seeing some beetleweights go at each other as well as the antweight fights. I only took Hello, World! along as Percussive Maintenance still needs redesigning. It's been a good learning experience and practice at driving. The fir...

Re: Robodojo Antweight/Beetleweight event 15th July Leeds
Is the Saturday Check In/Testing mandatory or can I do that on the Sunday morning? I'm likely to be busy all day Saturday, but free all Sunday.

Re: T_Y's Build Log
@peterwaller Ah right, that makes sense. I wonder what a good RPM/gear ratio is for a good balance between self-righting and axe power. I've got a few 600RPM@12V motors lying around. @MarkR Thanks! Though personally I think there's still some problems. On Hello, World!, I had to quickly solder on so...
