Re: Nuts And Bots - Robots and components!

The New NanoTwo LT is now stocked: https://nutsandbots.co.uk/product/nanotwo-lt-dual-esc/ This ESC is a receiverless version of the reliable and competitive NanoTwo V2. https://i.imgur.com/JJ9Qnv4.jpg https://i.imgur.com/vjtBESZ.jpg Wheels Just a minor note that this afternoon I managed to solve a ...

Re: Team Shakey Build Diary

Most likely yes, Just haven't fully decided on my team yet. The spinners all still need repairs/new discs so maybe ICBINS, Mr Flipling, Ghost Writer and Wedge Wedge Wedge.

Re: N20 motor rating

Pretty much yeah.

Though I have a benchtop power supply with a current readout that is what I actually use for this kinda thing. It's also a current limiting one which is handy for testing things too.

Re: N20 motor rating

5A is more than enough, typically N209s stall between 0.4A (Rare but I've had some in this low down in power, and 1.6A (Pololu HP motors). The regular ones that tend to be picked up generally seem to cluster around 0.8A.

Re: Tiny 6mm gear motors appearing in Aliexpress

Not to reveal too much but I've been exploring usefullness of motors this size for a little while now, and while I've not poked these specific 6mm motor and gearboxes I have used other 6mm motor in testing. But my findings are essentially that they aren't strong enough for ants by themselves. The is...

Re: Team Shakey Build Diary

Never posted this bot when I built it. This is the next version along from Glitter EDF robot. EDF robot was fun but had a lot of problems as it was rushed, it couldn't actually do much after sparkling up a fight! 'Glitter Cannon Bot' is a much more capable ant that can push about others. Plus the ad...

Re: Small ESCs outside the UK

Just to clarify a bit: When it comes to RC ESC's there are 2 kinds of brake talked about. One is the motor brake (sometimes called drag brake) like GeorgeR says and is a very desirable feature in fighting robots, I dislike driving robots without it. It just makes it so much more controllable. This k...

Re: Team Pushover's Ants Build Log.

Electronics dying is not all about if it 'smokes' or not. Reverse polarity is normally an instant death for electronics regardless of if smoke is lost or not, especially when microcontrollers and FETs come into play. A NanoTwo that's had power applied in reverse polarity is likely gone. EDIT: To add...

Re: A Hotel, constructed of Limas, for Ants: A Build Diary

I replied to your email but I will also reply here with the same text to benefit others (Though do note I don't check this forum hugely regularly whereas email gets straight to my phone for replies): For issue A that is a case of your failsafe settings being incorrect. The robot will set its failsaf...
