I have just caught up with this thread and I feel like I am going backwards. 1) Honestly I find the nanos and fleas are detracting from the main AWS. Another slightly more complex mechanism is to have 2 sets of the offset cams roating in sync with each other. Normally 3 or 5 gears in the train.
The whole leg moves around in a circle. but stays level with the ground. This is how kwijebo and ickle work.

I agree with Scott EDFs should be discussed and a decision made about rules. I take antweight robots competitively and progress towards designs that have a better chance of winning over more fun designs. Silicone and polyurethane wheels give a grip advantage and the majority of robots now use these ...

I just received a pneumatic fill.valve from hobbyking. It has a large hex nut on the in end, has anyone got one and tried turning this round to save weight?
