Re: AWS55 - 30th June 2018 - Dunchurch Village Hall

How hard is it to increase the limit for number of possible ants in AntLog? I feel we may tip over the current 128 entry limit at some point and I think we can find other ways to accommodate all entries.

I can do that, sure, when I get them back.

Re: Die Gracefully Robotics Stuff and Things

Thank you, sir. The "bits box" was pretty much all new for this AWS. Only the walking mech on Bramble and the hinged wood from Considerable were already in existence. But I have picked up a lot of experience in my time, that helps. And I'm OK at driving when I'm on form. The problem with b...

Re: Beardy Bots

You guys were great. I loved how surprised you were every time you won a fight. Great robot/s, great people. Can't wait to see what you do next!

Die Gracefully Robotics Stuff and Things

So I guess it's the cool thing to have one of these team threads, huh? I have an old one buried in the depths of the forum somewhere. But fresh start, new pastures and all that. AWS55 was a hoot. Re: Rule Debates

There is no rule that says 2 fleaweights used as an antweight cluster must also fit into the 3" cube, unless they also want to be considered separately in the fleaweight competition. And I don't think it's that hard to make a cluster start in such a configuration. Lemmings, if you grouped them ...

Re: Rule Debates

After the rule debates about expansion at the weekend with Team Effort and Team Antivate, I was told that it didn't say in the rules that an expanding robot (or any robot for that matter) had to start in the configuration in which it fits within the four inch cube size limits. It most certainly does...

Re: AWS55 - 30th June 2018 - Dunchurch Village Hall

And I finally got home last night, hooray! Well done Chris, great venue, good arena, great set-up. Arena floor problems are always going to surface with that amount of fighting but apart from that I can't think of a single criticism. Would love you to host again. And well done everyone too! Great ev...
