Re: Building an arena question

A central pit would definitely be an interesting change, but depending on design could be a bit of a pain to clear out after every fight, especially if something small but important flies in there. One good thing about the Bugglebots pit is it's designed so it can be accessed from underneath the are...

Re: ESC with built-in receiver - interesting?

I would be interested as well. Am not fussed about 1 or 2 N20's personally, 3 channels & a receiver for less than 5g sounds great! (Although I might have to improve my soldering first).

Re: Team Shakey Build Diary

Regarding N10's vs N20's George did a couple tests with these & wrote about them on his build diary http://www.robotwars101.org/forum/viewt ... &start=110

Re: Summer 2020 event interest?

Considering you guys have several ideas for games that we never get chance to play I think this could be an excellent idea. I for one would definitely be interested.

Re: Team Antiquarian & Anthony's Ant Army ready for battle

BTW James - forgot to ask - how did you get on with fitting a propeller on Epic Flail? Umm... haven't done it yet  Between getting 3 featherweights ready for Robodojo & 3 other ants ready for Antfreeze I haven't had time. Epic Flail is next on my list & will be done over the week with...

What facilities are available in the pits? E.g. are there enough mains sockets for everyone, or do you all have to fight over them, or do people tend to bring battery-powered tools & charging? A few people will bring extension leads & spread them out around room, so everyone can share, so p...

Re: Team Phyte Antweight Builds & Event Reports

Looks very good! Reminds me of Raphael from the MW class a little. Hopefully will get a chance to fight it with my vertical spinner at AntFreeze. :P Thanks Lucy!! The idea behind the bot was originally "what if Crossfire had Gabriel wheels" when I first saw KoB back in 2017, but I can def...

Re: Team Phyte Antweight Builds & Event Reports

Over the Christmas break I built a new ant, my 1st proper spinner. Re: Noob build questions

Hi. welcome to the forum! Firstly I would recommend looking at the recommended parts list on Bristol Bot Builders (BBB) for components; https://bristolbotbuilders.com/parts.html Regarding specifics, most people use 180mah 2S lipo batteries. Just search for that on Ebay & you'll find plenty of ve...

Re: Antweight Rules Proposal

Thanks for finally getting these rules written down, they seem like they've covered all the major issues. One other thing though, at AWS60 we implemented a rule where cluster bots had to enter as a cluster (ie: no removing one botlet in order to drastically modify the other & enter it alone). Wa...
