Re: Idiots Guide Needed - ESC, RX & Motors!
I already bought a blade DSMX this morning haha. It'd probably be cheaper to buy a new receiver and then keep the AR as a spare to pair up with a future transmitter buy.Occashokka wrote:If it's dsm2 that's fine, just use the same transmitter or buy a new one carefully

Re: Idiots Guide Needed - ESC, RX & Motors!
You need to be careful about DSM2 and DSMX radio's. Most of us use DSM2 and the lemon receivers are DSM2 which is what Rory uses in his controllers but new spectrum transmitters are DSMX only and not DSM2 compatible. They did for a short time make transmitters that were DSMX and DSM2 compatible but...

I don't really know all that much, but I'll impart what I do know. It would be a good idea to shop around in places like HobbyKing as well as eBay, there's a board on this forum specifically for places to get parts from, and they should point you in the direction of what's best to buy and where. Gen...

Re: Build Diary for a new antweight
Well, I do have my first robot, which is a lifter but is poorly built, so once Roc is up and running I plan to gut the internals of my first robot and rebuild it, and I'm thinking of theming it around an Oni, a Japanese demon that had the power to cause disasters, disease and famines and looks like ...

Re: Build Diary for a new antweight
May I ask how you did the paint and what type of paint it is? I actually used some Letraset Promarkers, they look great and are pretty versatile, and you can get metallic colours to make everything look shiny haha. I drew it out in pencil first, went over in pen, and then filled in with certain col...

Re: Build Diary for a new antweight
I've completed all of Roc that I can until I buy a transmitter and receiver and see what works and what doesn't. I coloured the wings to make them look more aesthetically pleasing, the wings themselves don't really have any use and are just there to make the robot look better, maybe guard the wheels...
