Re: What to do with old and leftover parts
I understand wanting to just use parts you already have for a build. the servo suggestion was just for a future upgrade option... best of luck with your build, i look forward to seeing what you come up with as what i am picturing from your description is probably a bit different to the actual finish...

Re: Thinking about a one off competition.
i found that the first few builds seemed daunting... but you pick up tips and tricks which help as you build more... nowdays, with all parts to hand, i can scratch build a robot that could win a fight in just a couple of hours. although typically i would say each of my bots take a day or 2 from part...

Re: TeamScrewUps poopoo bots
if those are 32mm pololu wheels then i think 13cm is too wide to fit diagonally, however it looks like you might get away with it fitting between opposite corners... with 32mm wheels you can be about 110mm wide and fit the cube diagonally, however with the same setup you can be about 145mm wide and ...

Re: Questions about LEDs and the OrangeRX R610V2
my beetle led light was a set of led's from a poundland cob headlight that i wired into the positive and negative of an old servo lead and plugged it into a spare channel on my rx... worked great for me... the cob ran off of 6v which was funnily enough the same output from the bec built into one of ...

Re: Thinking about a one off competition.
i noticed the front raises when you flip, and your design fully encloses the wheels. do your wheels still touch the floor when the front is raised? im pretty sure the original had the tyres exposed and an angled rear so it would still have wheels on the ground when flipping as the front hinged flipp...
