Re: BotFest 3 (14th September 2019)
Many thanks to everyone who came to BotFest 3! It is always great to see new and returning faces come to this tiny little event. We had 25 robots enter this time and a whole host of excellent fights. The grand final, particularly, was spectacular. We'll have the video of the event up soon. For 2020,...

Re: Team BLEEP build diary
Or redesign the arm to include a lobe so that it hits that first before the blade hits the floor.

Re: BotFest 3 (14th September 2019)
I was so hoping I could make this event, as I can't make AWS 59 due to my son's birthday, but it looks like I'll have to ferry my wife to the opticians instead, as they have crap hours and don't open Sundays. I had nearly 3 bots ready, too! :( Nooo! Sorry to hear we won't see you at this one, next ...

Re: ESC Sanity check
I'll be interested to see this at BotFest, I am curious as to how robust it will be.

Re: ESC battery and motor paring
In theory, this sounds "OK" to me. I've done something vaguely similar on a Middleweight (which is 20x heavier) in the past where one motor would drive one wheel, each of those motors were tied to a 60A continuous ESC per side. However, what I found was that if it would often lead to motor...

Re: AWS 59 -21st September 2019
Just as a general thing, Antlog's database is showing as being locked.

Re: BotFest 3 (14th September 2019)
With just over 5 weeks until BotFest 3, a new arena floor has arrived and yes, it is a 810x810mm single piece of plywood which I'll get painted and detailed at some point next week. Next thing on the list is to see about sorting the roof which whilst it "works", I'd like it to be more to s...

Re: ESC Sanity check
The yellow wire is the second signal wire I believe. The 3 pin connection into the receiver from the ESC will drive the receiver happily but if there are 2x 3pin wires, I imagine the ESC or the receiver would blow. You would need to put the yellow wire into the signal pin on the receiver on the chan...

BotFest 3 (14th September 2019)
Hey Everyone! It is time for our third BotFest event! This time, we are trying out a new venue, this being: The Belvidere Centre Belvidere Rd, Wallasey CH45 4RY Date: 14th September 2019 Time: 10:00 - 17:00 (ish) I believe this puts it exactly one week before AWS 59, so this might be a good event to...

Re: Coping with the demand (An EO's perspective)
To chip in on this discussion as a person who didn't attend this AWS: Multiple arenas : So long as the extra arena(s) met AWS requirements, that'd be OK but it'd then require more event crew to make it work which I know can be a problem. I don't think it'd require an update to Antlog per se, just so...
