Re: Scot-Bots Antweight Championship April 20th/21st 2014

Your concerns are the same as my own Scott, I was trying to see if anyone would be willing to attend this knowing that it is out of the usual locale that you all attend events at. I've highlighted this to the venue and they have assured me that they are working hard to attain additional funding whic...

Re: Scot-Bots Antweight Championship April 20th/21st 2014

Hmm, right enough. I'll need to confirm that with them. It'd be Easter weekend anyway.

Re: Scot-Bots Antweight Championship April 20th/21st 2014

I'm not looking for feathers, I just mean if people who are attending have feathers then they'd be welcome to bring them. Why would moving the date one day closer to the Gadget Show give people more time to get them ready after it? :-? . The idea is that we (Scot-Bots) will be there with the Dalek a...

Scot-Bots Antweight Championship April 20th/21st 2014

Hi Guys, Looking to see if anyone would be interested in attending an event between 15/16th April and the 21st April, most likely the weekend of the 20/21st. Scot-Bots have been asked to put on an event at The Glasgow Science Centre and along with our arena, Featherweights, Pilgrim and Dalek we're l...

Scottish Event

Just an idea at the moment, but i'm interested to see the response. Would there be any takers for attending an event north of the border? Although it can run as a competition/event, it will be more involved than a standard event and should have an audience, we would also be looking for volunteers to...

ScotBots

Not sure how many of you will have seen this from the FRA forum, but definitely another page worth joining. Jamie and I have started up ScotBots and have just had our first event this past saturday. Soon we'll be announcing the kit robots that we'll be selling and also more events, robot builds, are...

Re: Rampaging Chariots

Ahh I see, I don't have any 40MHz gear anymore :( . It may also throw a spanner in the works as I know the Chariots bots used to run on 40MHz up until last year, however I think this year there is a requirement for 2.4GHz, but whether that is for new kits being supplied or if it's being retrofitted ...

Re: Rampaging Chariots

Yeah thats no problem, no need to worry if its a lot of cash.

What sort of tx's are you using for them? The HWs and some FWs (Drumroll for example) wont be running at the Chariots event so we will have a load of transmitters going spare.

Re: Rampaging Chariots

Thanks for getting back to me guys :) I spoke to David the other night there about drive all day ants as I knew that could come in handy due to the relatively short batteries lives available to my FW and HWs, as well as the safety restrictions that I mentioned before. Also seems a bit more interesti...
