Hi Can I ask a question about the 3+1 rule. My interperitation of the rule was that you were allowed 4 robots and atleast one of them must be a walker. But now people are saying you are allowed 3rollers and 1walker. I see a difference here in that if say team Fluffy reformed he has around 3walkers a...

Why not put wheels on it then? Seems strange to me to want to make it a walker?

My point is whats the point in putting any effort into building Superants at all if I can enter my ants? Its seems stupid to me. Dave that very silly logic. Lets keep it the same but just change the words slightly: "My point is whats the point in putting any effort into building Ants at all if...

Flippt wrote:Why sand in the paint?
It gives an uneven surface which makes it easier for wheels to get a grip on and also makes suction slightly less effective.

Why should an autonomous ant be allowed a weight advantage? It would certainly help with a pusher, but is it necessary? The electronics needn't weigh very much, even the sensors are quite small and light. Weight is always a big advantage in ants as traction is very dependent on weight, at at this l...

The only thing i would suggest so a very good way of attaching the wheels (they appear to be lite flights) to the servo's. Idealy a completely custom hub would be best but failing that a good solid connection (i.e. more than just a blob of gloue) between the servo horn and the hub of the lite flight.

Pete, on loss of signal it powers down as it goes into Failsafe mode, it is infact a better failsafe than the GWS FS-1 and the ripmax x-tra failsafe. As for size as I stated earlier all the components with the exception of the transistors are available in surface mount so the board size could be gre...

Pete if you have a look at ian's design on his website www.teambigbro.co.uk you'll see that not only is it a remote kill (which could come in very handy with spinners by removing power to the spinner motor) its also a failsafe in it's self.
