Re: Crusher, why not?

Just wondering what the crushing mechanism is going to be, is it a lead screw that's connected to the crushing jaw on a bearing? Looks really nice so far.

Re: Crusher, why not?

It's looking very good... What method of crushing are you using? Curious because I've been using large servos, but they weigh an awful lot, are you using hydraulics of some sort or other?

Re: Crusher, why not?

Im in the process of creating a crusher and it is almost finished, using a 25kg servo (soon to be 35kg), I calculated the actual force it would produce at 25kg and it was around 7kg to the tip.

Re: Ellis's (Team BANANAPHONE/A12) build log!

It was a shame what happened at antfreeze, but hopefully the wiring stays in place for another event or two. Also, I recommend making an asymmetrical spinner, to deal larger hits, and getting a smaller drive ESC like a dasmikro, because those larger ones don't have a good break and are really heavy....

Re: ESC with built-in receiver - interesting?

I would be interested if it could power 2 N20 and have a separate radio channel for a weapon.
I would also buy a standard ESC that would replace the dasmikro in weight

Re: Team Shakey Build Diary

When designing test robot please ignore, did you put the blade in the centre of the robot, so that the two sections where the electronics and battery lay, felt the same centrifugal forces, or does it not matter?

Budget dsm2/dsmx transmitter

I bought a dsmx/dsm2 reciever and it didn't bind to my dsmx transmitter, so i think that it was a dsm2 reciever. So, I already have a lot of dsmx only transmitters. So I am looking for an inexpensive dsm2 transmitter. I have looked, so does anybody know any cheaper transmitters. Any replays are thou...

Re: Team Shakey Build Diary

Thank you so much! I hadn't thought of it that way, I was putting the mount in first! Very clever to design it like that. Thanks so much. All we have to do now is make it!

Re: Team Shakey Build Diary

Thank you. Sorry if I am being a bit annoying with all the questions, but how do you balance your asymmetric blades, I have spent hours trying and I have nothing to show lol
