Now the plot thickens, I've just been told the back did have support when it was printed.

Manual support structures in the print. http://i.imgur.com/Wdxzx54.jpg Essentially you want to eliminate any sharp points (Corners), thin edges or just areas of low surface area in contact with the bed of the printer. Green shows the manual support added for later removal. Ah such a simple solution...

Just for future reference how would I go about avoiding that on future prints?

Yeah the guy mentioned that the back corners curved up a bit due to shrinkage, but he'll refund me if find it to be bad once I've check in person.

So my got printer on 3D Hub returned and now with the option for parts to be printed blue I had to get KW2 printed. Yikes it's been a while since I updated this. basically revamped the design completely, electronics done, currently finalising the CAD and calculations on total weight of parts.
