Axiom's been getting some upgrades...

The axe arm is longer which will give it more power, and I've added for some titanium plates to fend off those nasty spinners. The axe head is also new, it's now made of EN24 chrome molybdenum steel, and is sharp enough that i sliced my thumb open on it last week.
Next up I'm planning on making a couple of alternative axes, probably going to do one with a long spiked head to fight edf fan bots, one with a titanium sledgehammer to throw at spinners, and maybe even one with a giant polycarb or HDPE head just for visual effect.

Well you can if you want, but I'm far from sure the chassis design is strong enough to avoid a spectacular self destruction as soon as it hits anything. I guess I'll just have to build it and see.

Ha ha ha if you want lessons in building chassis too weak for spinners im your man,*looks at 2 bent aluminum and steel chassis and shudders*

However buffy which was definitely not strong enough lasted 18months so who cares if your chassis is wobbly

I'm going for carbon fibre for the chassis on this one, if it's not strong enough it's going to break in half rather than bend! But I wanted something light but rigid so it's worth a shot.

I've made some more progress on the spinner...

It's still lacking any electronics, wheels, motors, or a top, but you get the idea.

I was originally planning on making my next ant kinda Tombstone alike, but after ages playing around with the design I still couldn't settle on something I was happy with. About a week ago I started sketching overhead bar designs and it came together really quickly, so I went with it. I now wish I'd made the weapon bar a bit longer, but this should work for now.

The electronics on the spinner, now named Vampire, are done, which means I couldn't resist doing a quick spinup test on the weapon...

All that's left now is to mount everything in the chassis and make a top panel. Can't wait to get this into action, it should be pretty fearsome.

That is looking good.
I particularly like the aluminium angle you have made the chassis sides from that is a neat bit of bending.

Thanks Pete, I'm really pleased with how the aluminium angle turned out.
The neat bends are all down to a little former I made when building Zero, it's a bit of brass bar 1/4 x 3/4 x 4inch, I filed a 6mm radius along one edge and a 2mm radius along another, and bend the metal around the radiused edges. I've used it for all the bends on Zero, the titanium armour for Axiom, and now for the aluminium angle on this.
