Is there any reason we can't book the place in Coventry where 45 was? I know no one lives really close anymore but if it's a good position and we've been there before it would be better than no one hosting it at all

The venue is at the school where I work, which I live a five minute drive from :P. I'm happy to sort it out so that someone can host there, but someone else would need to cover the £150 cost and the actual event organisation itself, as I don't have time to organise an event at the moment.

I think we managed £130 for Somerset so if we had someone willing to set down the money and organise it then £2 a robot would probably cover it.

With AntLog 3 being as advanced as it is (as long as everyone remembers to sign up this time hint hint), it does a lot of organising for you, so really if a venue can be secured - and Coventry would be pretty good - we'd just need people to work the signups and AntLog, do tech checks and awards, judging, timekeeping, and shout at people to be ready, and with the exception of the first couple those roles can be done on an ad hoc basis. It should be more than possible, hell, I'm willing to volunteer to help run it, although as I failed A Level maths it might be best if someone else does the tech checking :)

AN UPDATE

In the absence of anyone else wanting to host it, myself and Scott are proposing to host Antweight World Series 49 in Coventry (same venue as AWS 45) on, tentatively, Saturday the 30th April 2016. If there's no objections - I know it's between heavyweight events in Manchester and Portsmouth, but it's the best we can manage with a reasonable amount of notice - I'll open signups :) Thoughts?

That sounds good to me.
Can I suggest you set a charge per team to cover the cost of hire and only open the sign up in Antlog not on here so we don't end up with two sign ins.
