I didn't have my heart set on organising an event, I was just a bit gutted about having to miss the AWS last weekend and didn't want to wait until the next one for some action. And then then when I saw the rules thread I thought it might be an idea to have a more experimental antweight event.

But if Will wants to run a summer event, there's nothing to stop us having two non-AWS events before August is there? I don't mind organising and paying for a venue, as long as a decent number of people were interested. Plus we could maybe mix the two events up in different ways and see what works and what doesn't?

But anyway, yeah, definitely up for an event in August if you want to organise one!

I don't mind attending AWS and Ant Freeze but to come to Reading in between is a bit of a struggle for me. Wolverhampton is a very annoying location.

What venue would we be using? Do you think it'd be possible just to use the SSE common room or something?

Apologies for bumping this thread, but is there any prospect of this happening? I'm slightly concerned at the nearly five month gap we're currently looking at between any ant events at all, so if it is you can sign me up right away...

Funnily enough I have just started looking into this again. There may be the possibilty of an event some time in August. Probably won't be the full scale of what I normally do for an AWS just a fun event for everyone to enjoy.

I will get back to you later in the week to see if its do able :)

Please do! It would be great to have another smaller event this year seeing as the Antweight Open has been ruled out.

Hi Guys,

I've been trying to find a venue but everything around here is either fully booked or ridiculously expensive so I'll have to pass for now.
