AWS 46- University of Reading- 28th March 2015
Apologies for the delay in getting this confirmed, due to an increase in costs we have had to swap venue and I wanted to make sure that we could still offer the same standard of event for this years competition as we have for the past few.
The venue has now been booked so I can confirm that AWS 46 will go ahead as planned
Date: Saturday 28th March 2015
Venue: The Meadow Suite, Park House
University of Reading
Whiteknights Campus
Reading
Berkshire
RG6 6UR
Please note that this is a NEW VENUE- details will be posted of how to find it this evening.
SIGN UP CLOSED!

Re: AWS 46- University of Reading- 28th March 2015
That's something of a relief - I was dreading a late February one which would have really dear my flights up...
I'll be (hopefully) going with a new S.D.F. and hopefully some nanoweights, and possibly some other terrible things. Looking forward to it, especially the part where I get the accessible shower in the hotel room again

Re: AWS 46- University of Reading- 28th March 2015
A note to everyone (but particularly John Denny I think), is that commercially available vehicles (Hexbugs, remote cars, drones etc) will no longer be allowed to compete from this event onwards, as discussed in the rules thread. The only exception is combat robot kits (Shock bots, Pete Collier kits etc) which will be allowed.
It looks like we should be able to make an appearance. We may have to rush off at the end, but will be able to make it.

I'm glad to hear it
And yes, no commercially available vehicles allowed apart from ant kits.

I need to get the date confirmed, but I should come. Most likely RDR won't be done.

Why wouldn't it be done, there is loads of time between? You can build a simple ant in a day!TeamCrash wrote:I need to get the date confirmed, but I should come. Most likely RDR won't be done.
Glad to hear you can make it Dave!

We are booked in. Will be a long day for us but we'll be there! So relieved.
Out of interest, there was talk at the end of the last event (after Scott had to shoot off) of maybe doing a shuffle for this one, going straight into the main event at the start and doing things like the fleas and nanos after. Is there any idea on how the day will run?
