Considering selling these as starter kits:

It's a LemonRX connected and heat shrunk to an N2LV in a really convenient little package; only has 3 sets of wires to worry about and is really small.
Nearly all my robots are based of these; It's just really easy as I can make a bunch of these then throw them in pretty much anything to make an antweight (Mr Burns for example)
Depending on how far I'd take it, the servo could be an optional extra, as would a battery (non lipo)... not sure I'd stretch as far as a transmitter though..

Either that or I don't worry about the motors, wheels etc. and just sell the controller unit..
It all comes down to what there is a market for, and how much time and effort it takes to make and source parts...
The control unit without motors, wheels etc would probably be ~£30... haven't worked out a cost for the full setup yet if I do it.

They look very neat you will certainly get less returns if you supply them with controller, receiver and motors combined and battery connector fitted.
Where most antweight builders can solder there are some that definitely can't.
This was the worst example I had back that had stopped working apparently.

The interesting thing apart from the outputs shorting together was the repair to the antena wire as on this receiver it was a coaxial cable and the repair joined the outer and inner together ensuring no signal got to the receiver.

Heh, someone's done a nice job of that one :P I've helped out with uni open days were kids have had to solder up simple PCBs, and some of the soldering there was spectacularly bad!
Yeah mine come with loose wires to solder to, which is harder to get wrong, but if one of the wires come loose and needs repairing then it could get messy if they're not very skilled at soldering.

I'm just trying to work out if it's worth it; I can buy motors and LemonRXs pretty cheap in bulk, it's just those silicon tired wheels that I've struggled to find a cheap source for. I can buy these one's (http://www.pololu.com/product/1090) in bulk pretty cheaply, but I've no idea if they're any good. Probably looking at a price of about £50 for a full set up if it's going to be worth me doing, which is potentially a little too much for some.
Decided I'm probably not going to include batteries, transmitters, servos etc as then that starts to make things tricky, and they're harder to find a cheap reliable source for.

I've always thought soldering was one of my weakest skills in robot building, but that makes me feel a little better about myself ;) (Sorry to whoever's soldering that is!)

Thanks Dave  I was trying to make the point without embarrassing anyone but seeing as he doesn't seem to appear here anymore I suppose it doesn't really matter.

Sorry Pete, couldn't resist, and like you said, not on here anymore :(. He does want to come back though from what Haz tells me.

Unfortunately due to issues with suppliers, it turns out I won't be able to make any N2HV boards now until after 23rd of August :/

I have made all the other ESCs that were ordered for collection at the AWS. Don't forget to bring your money if you are collecting. I'm planning to put up an A4 sign above my pit spot if possible that'll say ' N2xV collection' or something along those lines so you know where to find me. If you have any enquiries or just want a look then feel free to come chat. I'm hoping to build a few spare N2LV boards for people who want to buy them on the day, though if you do want one then preferably order in advance so you can get the options you want.

As a side note, almost 1 in 5 robots at this AWS are using N2xV controllers. Not bad for the first month or so of sale :)
