I suppose it says something about my attitude to robots that I think a big pumpkin is a bit dull. Lol.

Jamie, which one is the "mini Wilhelm's Scream"? I don't think any of them bear resemblance!

+/- is a lot of fun. It drives really nicely even with the disc at full throttle, so will be good to unleash it on some other ants, and gives me a nice change from driving the more dull pushbots I seem to have become quite good at. Though all this will be mute, as we all know Gemma will knock me out :D

Thanks for the comments, guys.

I thought Robot In-Dentistry looked pretty similar? Big wheels at the front, boxy bit sticking out the back, evil face on the front (granted it's on a wedge/scoop whereas Wilhelm's Scream was just flat)
Just me?

Actually, after just watching this video, I don't see as much of a resemblance. But still similarities :P

Meh, kinda. It certainly wasn't intentional. I've never seen that video before! Don't remember filming it either...haha. Makes me want to get the two new heavies rocking :D

The new pingu is almost done !! Got my petew controller in the post today so its been driving around for the first time. This is a bit of a step up from my previous tape and hot glue robots, the frame is carbon and the flipper is titanium. Got a 120 mah 2s lipo, petew controller and 2 ebay gear motors, and savox sh-0263MG flipper servo.

Heres some pictures :) :

I just need to make the sides, and its done. In its current state, with battery and working weapon it weights 117 grams, so its looking pretty good :). Im going to have a stab at molding my own side panels, but failing that theyll be TI. Yay for no tape.

Looking very nice that, dude. You've come along an awful lot since the original Pingu (even if I don't agree with your "no tape" philosophy! :P). Have you tested self righting? Looks like it can.

Hehe thanks. Although tape has been ommitted, theres plenty of hot glue  . Although it looks very generic, i designed it in solidworks first to test the self righting, and it just (literally just) self rights from on its back. Theres no position you can put it in that it cant recover from :D . I decided that for once, Id try to be mildly competitive. Thanks for the comments :) .
