Jake and I would like to say thankyou to everyone who attended for welcoming us into your family so warmly and for giving us a fantastic event to play with antsstare at.
Also thanks from me for all the compliments on my robot, I learnt a lot and improvements will definitely be made.
Best regards
Bentley and Jake

Just got in and got my breath back, many thanks to Jack and family for hosting it and to everyone that was complimentary on my robots. It was a genuine pleasure to see everyone again and especially Bentley, Jonny and Harry who I'd either not met before or not talked to much before, all of you are what the industry refers to as 'top blokes'
It was a mixed event for me, more down than up...most of it was half-expected really, although I don't think anyone could have seen Spall surviving what it did but Jigsaw's sudden failure still hurts for some reason, it honestly baffles me why the servo failed so spectacularly so suddenly. I've ordered some replacements but maybe they don't like 7.4v much as I know Dave Weston's blown some?
Well done to Dan, Alasdair, Andy, Harry, Peter, Bentley and anyone else who won awards that I've forgotten ^_^

Cheers fellow, It was a pleasure to meet everyone to, as to Jigsaw's failure does the servo necessarily need to be run from a direct voltage off the battery? why not just run it off its standard voltage? obviously it increases speed and torque but it must decrease the life span quite extensively?
Also does anyone know when all those videos will be uploaded, I cannot remember who was recording the battle but id like to view a couple

Another great event it is nice to have the time to talk to people at these slightly less formal events especially as they are such a pleasant bunch. Thanks to Jack and family for all the hard work and refreshments and congratulations to Dan, Andrew and others whose names escape me (old age does that) who won events.
