I can third that! Simon, I thought Alasdair meant the Favicon, like here on RW101 we have a little picture of Pants. If that was what you meant, then you can find lots of information here.
As far as I can tell, you just need to put a 16x16, 32x32 or 64x64 favicon.ico file in the root directory of the site.
