We wont be able to run any fights at 1:30. We will still be setting up the arena and so no TX control will be running until roboteers arrive at 3pm.

Well, just finished repairing Dynamite after Peter gave it a good going over.
The event wasn't exactly a normal Reading Robot Club, but I hope that people enjoyed seeing the heavyweights close up, and I think that Robots Live appreciated us being there (still smarting from Roaming Robots completely ignoring antweights on the post-Aylesbury wrap up).
Robots Live were also very sensitive and understanding about frequencies (again, they are much much better than the Roaming Robots frequency control).
It was also great to see the ants entered by the heavy and featherweight class roboteers, one of whom nearly made it to champion (modesty prevents me from saying who won!). Well done Will.
So, I'd like to suggest that we do more of these Robots live events, as and when people can make them. I'll start a new thread about that.

Yes it was another good event we got one complete non spinner contest finished plus quite a lot of ad hock fights and melees and a couple of demo's up on the big screen. Being positioned next to the audience ment we got quite a lot of interest between the heavy and feather fights and being local for Reading Robot Club I think we might get a few new members. I was looking at the Ant entries and we had 7 ants from 5 teams who started at Reading Robots Club and another 4 ants from the Heavy/Feather people attending. As Simon said we were given as much freedom as was possible in a combined event and the fact that Alan's dad took the trouble to check we were ok and enjoying ourselves shows that we are welcome and not just tolerated at Robot Live Events.

I've left a couple of names out, if anyone can fill them in I'd be most grateful.
