today i got the motors for my featherweight
2x windscreen wiper motors...
now before you start yelling at your monitors"he should have used gold motors...he should have used drill motors etc..." can i just say this is going to be a very low-tech feather ( most of the ideas are taken from rex's robot challenge) for example, my pneumatics consists of a lemonaid bottle and 2 bicycle pumps, i do not want the total cost to go over ?250

Hi Marco, I don't know if UHMWPE is different from the stuff you're using but I'd say that its flexibility is a bonus, and I can tap UHMWPE no problem.

Marco- the entire chassis is tapped and bolted together with no problems so far

how are u cutting it by hand or on a band saw?

The treads in the HDPE will fail soon. It's just to soft and flexible.

We solve that by welding it.

today the featherweight armor arrived!
going to mount the motors soonish and then order the batteries and the tx and speedos
