Brighton Modelworld 2009 - 13-15 February 2009

Post by BeligerAnt »

We have been invited back to Modelworld once again, so I'm looking for volunteers to help with the stand.

If you are planning on coming (I know it's a long way off yet!) please let me know which day(s) - Friday, Saturday, Sunday you can attend, which nights you need accomodation for, and an estimate of your mileage or transport costs.

Unfortunately I need all this info for the application form.

Thanks (in advance)

I'm up for Saturday, the 14th. So that's Nathan and I, no hotel, we'll just drive in the morning, Multimap makes that 82 miles each way.

I can't see anywhere that ferry travel is excluded Leo, and I think our expenses are usually quite modest compared to some stands. So include the ferry!

Well i could make it all 3 days then, and i will need accomodation fri-sat and sat-sun night.

Ferry is 180 euros from Calais to Dover and back. And about 600km travel.
Best regards,

BTW we stayed at the Best Western Princes Marine Hotel last year, they messed up our reservation and didn't have any parking available, the year before we stayed at The Downs Hotel on Warren Road. It's a nice little pub, good parking plus it's very near the park and ride. The rooms are over the pubb so they're a bit noisy, but not a problem if you're downstairs!

I've been invited back too. Oliver + Guest :)

Really need to convince my brother to come down as I think he would enjoy it.

Have upgraded R2 now so he has 150W motors over the old 100W ones, should be able to drive on carpet now.

I'll be doing all 3 days as before, if we get the same area as before you can grab some of my floorspace if you want.

I stayed at the Downs Hotel for the past 2 years, definately get an inside room. Depending on the room it can be a bit noisy, but I sleep though anything. It is just a short car ride to the park and ride into town.

Should have 2 demo bots by then with big batteries.

As previously discussed Gary, count me in. I can be available for all 3 days or we can sort it out nearer the time.
