Hi guys,

Was wondering if any ants would be interested in attending the event?

Rise of the Robots

Post by slurp »

There's a bigger event being arranged here by the National Space Centre. I'm expecting to be there with a few minisumo (detail to be confirmed) and I expect that you'll also find a micro-mouse (or several) maze running along side various other hobby and scientific displays.

Rise of the Robots is billed as the ultimate robot weekend with metallic stars from film and TV, fighting robots, scientific robots, the latest technologies and much, much more!

I may be tempted, especially if Colin's running minisumo as well. Unfortunately the whole experience may result in me finally building a micro-mouse too!

You guys are more than welcome to come. We will need an arena, but if Pete is coming, would you be able to provide one?

We are in the main halls of the centre (not the cafe, like in past years), and we have 3 large screens we can use. So can project the ants onto one of those, and also put you in a place where the public can get to you, and have a chat about the ant weight world!

We are looking at camping over the weekend, is this somthing you guys would be interested in?

Cheers

I have now signed up and can bring the arena.
I am also displaying Minisumo and Micromouse but that is probably on other stands.
I may well camp out I just need to get the old tent out of the loft where it has been for many years and check it still looks servicable.
