Replacement RRC competion? Bradford Royal

Post by Marco Roberts »

Ok since it looks like simon is not going to hold the RRC I was thinking about holding a replacement event in bradford.
Thing is I need to see who is dedicated to come to a bradford event. I have a large house which is large enough to hold a few people. Have a spare bed and a few sofas and sleeping bags.
I would look into holding it in the un in a spare class room. But I know its quite a a distance from Reading to Bradford as a replacement event.
Let me know your opinions on the matter but I think it is important that there is a regular event along side the AWS.
Regards Marco

I think we managed to get Simon to agree to still keep it going. Its not fianalised yet but he would book the hall and run the entry list and a couple from Reading whose son has a robot and myself would run the event on the day.

After the amount of travelling I've done this weekend, I wouldn't be too keen (just spent 3.5 hours getting back from London) but we probably would go.

And yes, there probably will be another RRC, but let's keep the events coming, particularly, in my view, the more public ones, just to get some more new blood.
