Roaming Robots: Aylesbury - Sunday 13th May 2007

Post by Simon Windisch »

I thought I'd continue from http://www.robotwars101.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=850 on a new topic.

We have been offered our own table at the Roaming Robots event in Aylesbury on Sunday 13th May 2007 http://www.roamingrobots.co.uk/events2007_aylesbury.htm with sole use of the bottom five 40MHz frequencies and of course Spektrums are OK too.

So please let me know here if you're definitely coming, and perhaps we can also discuss 1) What we need to bring 2)How we can promote antweights

I believe that this event two years ago is where we hooked Josh!

I will be there and can bring my arena. Are we running a contest or doing demonstrations and letting people have a drive or both.

Thanks Peter, as to what we do, it's up to us. What do you want to do?

Me and Marco are taking the biggie. I could knock together an ant or two maybe.

I think at these type of events is worth doing demo's and letting people drive to encourage new roboteers. But if there are enough people interested on the day either for non spinner or full combat we could run an small event to give them a taste of the real thing maybe at the end of the event.

I'm bringing the current FIN to Aylsebury as well as my FW, Baby Hell's no use until its rebuilt. FIN is also being rebuilt, but won't be seen until RRC 12, and then again at RRC13/AW UK champs, because, with regret, I am unable to attend AWS 23. BTW, which are the bottom 5 frequencies ? my ants use 40.825 and 40. 765 respectively. Do I need to change this ?.

PS: Simon, those little plugs/tabs, can you bring a spare one ? FIN's has gone walkabouts...
