Brighton Modelworld 2008 - 15th-17th February

Post by BeligerAnt »

At the weekend I received an invite for us to exhibit at Brighton Modelworld again next year (already!).

This will be the 30th Modelworld so cause for a bit of a celebration. I think I probably went to the first one (or at least one of the very early ones) - showing my age again!

I have spoken to PeteC about this previously and we are both willing to do it again. Any more volunteers? Travel and accomodation expenses are available.

I need to know that we have a viable team, so please post below if you think you will be able to help. Thanks!

Great, it looks like we have a viable team. If we have enough people available James, PeteC and I would really like the Saturday off as doing 3 full days (plus setting up Thursday night) was really a bit too much. We can sort the details out nearer the time.

Travel expenses are available, and something towards accommodation. This year it was about ?30 per person per night, you have to book your own hotel and provide a receipt. There is a free exhibitors car park and park & ride bus. There are free hot drinks and an exhibitors cafe with food at sensible prices (or you can bring your own).

I will try to get the same place and layout as this year, unless anyone has any better ideas?

Please let me know rough travel costs and how many nights accomodation you require. I have to submit an expenses estimate with the application (now). I guess if we're too expensive they won't have us!

Put me down for Sat/Sun. Not sure about Fri yet.

By then I should have my other project up and running. What was the deal with people dropping things off and parking in the multistory? Is it free or cheap enough to park all day?
