I can bring my arena. Not for figting in but as a display case. I can build a box to fit inside to display ants on, and the sides can be taped down.

I have sent all the paperwork off and await the next installment...

I have asked for 8 exhibitor passes per day.
So far we have most people for Saturday: me, James, PeteC, Peter W, Oliver, Dave, Simon and Nathan. So that makes Saturday full up.
There are still 3 spare places for Sunday, and 5 for Friday

I had to guesstimate the expenses, and since they don't give a mileage rate and I didn't know exactly who was coming, it was more of a guess. They only ask for an estimate though, not an exact figure.

I have asked for an area about 12' x 18', pref. against a wall, with public acess to 2 sides so we can put the arena on a corner. That gives us at least 30' of frontage to fill up, the arena will account for only about 7'.
We should have power and a work/charging table at the back of the stand.

More info as I get it...

A brief update...

The booking form has been processed, everything is OK so far.

The park and ride operates from Brighton Racecourse

We will probably be located on the ground floor, this should provide the best chance of independence of frequencies (subject to testing) from both the Main Hall (boats and Roaming Robots) and East Wing Upper (Racing Cars and Trucks).

More info will be sent out in January, including passes. I will need to mail passes to everyone that wants to use the park & ride.

Another update...

I have received some info from the organisers on frequencies. There are 22 different groups using R/C at Modelworld, so it's looking like a bit of a headache.

We have access to all 27MHz freqs, and all 40MHz freqs except 40.695 and 40.795. It says that users of 2.4GHz must contact the organisers, but I believe the latests Ofcom exemptions mean the Spektrum DX6 can be used without an event licence, so I think this is old information.

We should be far enough away from other groups that we can run any frequency, but we will need to perform supervised tests to check that there is no interference. We must display frequency indicators - hopefully my set of pegs will be OK.

If you are coming to Modelworld, please let me know what frequencies you will be using.

I've got quite a few; 675,895,665 plus a load of 27's so I think we'll be ok. I'm still planning on using a purpose built ant running on 9v at the moment...

Gary

My team mate Steve Bracewell will come along on the Sunday if there is still a space. He'll be with me, so no petrol or anything. His robot runs on one of my old 27 sets but I can't remember the freq off hand.
