How many people are bringing minisumo bots?

I would like to have a look.

I'll bring my arena, I probably won't have time to repaint the surface so it will be just as it was at the end of the last AWS. Divots and all.

I almost certainly won't have a minisumo bot ready by then. In fact, the way things are going we won't have many ants ready either...

I can bring my minisumo prototype board which is basically a bit of veroboard on wheels but it it is fully functional and may have the ultrasonic long range sensors by then. At the moment it has optical edge avoidance and optical opponent detection but these have only about half an arena range.
Has any one heard from Simon lately he seems not to have posted for a while. If he is happy to use Olivers arena I won't have to repaint mine.

I heard from Simon yesterday so he is around.

Can someone else bring an arena for Sat. I'm bringing mine but I'm out at the Reading beer Festival Fri night so might be in a bit of a bad state Sat morning if it's a good night.

I've heard from him across PM. I know he said either arena is fine.

Yes, I am here.

I've just updated the teams page for RRC9, http://windisch.co.uk/robots/rrc/rrc09/teams.htm

Pete, it sounds like you'd better bring your arena after all, if that's OK.

I have improved my speedway arena so that it has a varnished, rather than plastic surface, and so Pete's robots shouldn't get stuck, in quite the same way anyway.

Don't know if you got my email, but you can pull TNT from full combat.

Thanks Rhys,

Hib, I though we could run
1. Football,
2. Non-Spinner combat
3. Speedway
4. Full Combat

Full combat to start around 2.30, not much of a lunch break, and coffee/tea and biscuits provided. Is that OK?

Would anyone like one of my DVDs of RRC8? They're just raw copies of all the footage. Let me know beforehand and I'll copy some for you. They're 50p each on the day.
