I got this reply from the organiser (John)
Simon
So if we sign up there, and then let me know here, and I'll try to negotiate some tables and frequencies. Not sure what exactly is going to be happening this
year.
But you are more than welcome to attend with the ant
weights.
There will be a sign up going online on the website,
apply through that when it happens, and then ill be in
touch with details.

An update from the organiser:
Any thoughts? Also, let me know if you're coming.
Simon
On a different note, what do you think of bringing along some pay per play bots. I'm thinking non weaponed two servo bots with big batteries. We could somehow share the money? The lower [five] frequencies should be fine, tables under
cover, and power [supply] should all be fine.
Any thoughts? Also, let me know if you're coming.

I think most (all?) of us have only done the Aylesbury event this past year. I agree ?25 is too much for one event. There was one event in Portsmouth that we could have got to but I think we would have been the only ants there (so we didn't go). Other than that all the events seem to be a long way north.
Just a thought... has anyone queried the ?25? As I understood it, that included CO2 at events for feathers/heavies. As we don't use CO2 we got a discount. Perhaps it's just an oversight?
