I've asked Mr Stu if we can come again.

We're going to see Roaming Robots at Leicester on Sunday 29th, so I may get a chance to talk to him then.

I got this reply from the organiser (John)
Not sure what exactly is going to be happening this
year.

But you are more than welcome to attend with the ant
weights.

There will be a sign up going online on the website,
apply through that when it happens, and then ill be in
touch with details.
So if we sign up there, and then let me know here, and I'll try to negotiate some tables and frequencies.

An update from the organiser:
The lower [five] frequencies should be fine, tables under
cover, and power [supply] should all be fine.
On a different note, what do you think of bringing along some pay per play bots. I'm thinking non weaponed two servo bots with big batteries. We could somehow share the money?

Any thoughts? Also, let me know if you're coming.

Hi, I've just got the latest newsletter from Roaming Robots, and they now have a flat membership fee of ?25, whereas I believe it was ?10 for antweights last year.

This certainly makes me think twice about going to Aylesbury. Does anyone else have any thoughts on this?

That seems a little OTT, i proberly won't be going-becasue i only go to one event a year, just doesn't seem worth it.

I think most (all?) of us have only done the Aylesbury event this past year. I agree ?25 is too much for one event. There was one event in Portsmouth that we could have got to but I think we would have been the only ants there (so we didn't go). Other than that all the events seem to be a long way north.

Just a thought... has anyone queried the ?25? As I understood it, that included CO2 at events for feathers/heavies. As we don't use CO2 we got a discount. Perhaps it's just an oversight?

've since learn't that it will be ?35 per team, because there's another membership we'd each have to get of a further ?10.

I haven't contacted Roaming Robots about this at all. Frankly, it's put me right off.
