Hey, where did the other Events topic go?

Anyway, would anyone be able to turn up for a mini event at Aldryngton school on Wednesday 20th April at 3:30 to 4:30?

Thanks - Simon

It appears that all the topics were pruned by our hacker  thus deleting every post more than 7 days old. This did clear out a lot of dross I suppose, but it also meant a lot of useful stuff was lost.

Unfortunately it may prove impossible to recover anything / everything

Sorry I won't be able to help out at the school - much as it sounds like fun. Good luck with it!

I was wondering if any one would be interested in the attending the Romanway Model Flying Club display on the 4th Sept. This is at the BMW works on the Oxford ring road and is a relitively small event but does attract a lot of radio contol people with aircraft, cars and boats. They normally have some static heavy weights but I thought if enough people were interested we could check with the oganisers to see if we could run some events. More info can be found on the FRA web site under live events. It is local for both Aylesbury and Reading.

Don't smash your robots up guys. There's a Reading Robot Club the weekend after, on the 10th.

The way i'm going I'll have some spare ants.

At the moment:

Odyssey
Anteater
Pixiedust
Hyper Puppy
Gross Imcompetence
TYPE-0 (still around minus Rx, batts and lifting servo)
Un-named replacement for Odyssey

I think for the public events we would have to have a range of ants from basic 2 servo pushers to vacuum and spinners to appeal to everyone. Also we can't go around destroying ants too much so would have to keep spinner combat to a minimum or just for demonstration.

Oliver why not make up an ant (could be overweight) with old parts, I.e. Standard servo's, cheepo rx and betteries. Made out of say balsawood or something simular that can be thrown in against a spinner just to show the destruction that can be caused.
