AWS 17

Post by petec »

Well, with one out of the way, we start looking forward to another.

If anyone would like to bid to host 17, please post here.

I will put in a tentative bid myself - I haven't managed to identify a good venue yet, but I'm working on it. However, if someone else wants a go, express your interest here!

As I hinted in the AWS16 thread, I could run AWS17, but I'd rather let someone else have a go if they want to.

I'm also aware that Brighton is about as far south as you can go (without getting wet!) so may not be too convenient for those who live in the far north (Bucks  )

So there's the offer - same venue as AWS13 (I expect), tea & coffee, sausage sarnies, and hopefully no need to rebuild R.O.N.N.Y when I'm supposed to be doing tech checks and organising stuff!

The Holland event has been arranged etc. only needs the title AWS.

It will be an antweightevent one way or another.

I've located a possible venue in Burgess Hill - not much north of Gary, but easy to get to by road or rail. Could people suggest some date ranges in June or July so that I can check availability? - I don't want to clash with exams, etc.

BH is very convenient for me! :)

Pete, if you try to avoid all exams I think you will end up in the school holidays. So you are likely to find some people are on holiday. You can't please everyone!

Personally I think the original nominal late Feb, late June, late Oct works pretty well. Late June gets my vote (but then I don't have any exams to do!).

BTW - can't make July 2nd - robots needed at school summer fair!

Second half of july is School hols. and exams finish mid-June. God knows how I'd ever get down South though-somewhere with Rail links to Hull would be good
