Event numbers

Postby limpet » Tue Jul 19, 2016 5:58 pm

What would be the average number of attendees at an AWS? Not robots but people. I have a brilliant new venue but there is a top limit so I need to know before I go back to them.

I'd guess at maybe 50.
Data from Antlog:
AWS48: 29 teams
AWS49: 25 teams
Say an average of 1.5 people per team, plus a few extra gives around 50, depending on the "popularity" of the event.

However, if the room can only hold the number of people we expect, will there be enough space for pits and the arena?

Conversely, if the room seems "big enough" I would not have thought the capacity would be an issue.

It could be for insurance/fire reasons, especially if there's a gigantic hall with only one exit!

Thanks.
Plenty of space but it is for insurance, I don`t know what the limit is so I`ll get back to them with that estimate and see what they say.
I can`t see it being a problem.
