Last minute emergency; Void's batteries have discharged too much while it's been sitting around and, while it still works, my charger refuses to charge them. Does anyone have a charger which they can force to trickle them back up to an acceptable voltage that I can try tomorrow please?

My dumb charger may be able to.

Uh, Alex and I may have got the times mixed up and assumed kick off was at 11:00... We're probably getting there at about 10:15 as we have to go collect Sam.. Any chance of us getting into the main comp still?

Alex and Rory were able to make it :) ICBINS won the antweights (defeating the wedges in the final!), Fleabite the fleas, and Lift-a-lot the nanos. My memory of the other events is a bit hazy (sorry!) but I do remember John jr. winning quite a few of them!

We've just got back in (long story short; I am thoroughly fed up with Wigan Athletic and their fans) and I had a thoroughly good time, everything ran smoothly and it was good being able to reconnect with people again. Tracy wants to pass on her thanks to everyone for making her welcome too :) Performance-wise, S.D.F. II survived a lot of spinner scrapes and took out Test Robot Please Ignore in the annihilator (!), S.D.F. I had a decent run in the competition too, the extra games were a lot of fun, and I think Jigsaw 64 should be quite solid once I get the controls sorted :3 Congratulations to Alex, Peter, Rory, John, and everyone else who won, and many thanks to John for the organisation and Peter for the lift to and from the station, as well as everyone for being just decent, nice people and making it such a good time.

Hope everyone got back safely and we'll see you all at the AWS :3

Yes it was a great event as usual thanks to John and family for putting it on.
I didn't use to be a fan of football but with the two pits as goals and the ability to score from the sides makes it a much better game and having John as a team mate also helped.( he scored all our goals )
The marbles using plastic M12 nuts was even better than before and great fun and was most aptly named nuts by someone a name I think will stick.
The look on Rory's face when he realized he had been amassing nuts in the wrong corner was priceless.

I was just being helpful... again

Aside from that it was a great event. Bad Idea's seems to be working well again, splitting Void in two, getting one of the piggies in 3 pits at once (does anyone have a video of that they can upload? :L), and still making it out of the groups!

Really enjoy these events; looking forward to the next one :)

Thanks to john for a great event, and to everyone who helped to fix my robots. Congratulations to all the winners.

jaguar and tbsos both went 1-2 in the main event, the latter because of me forgetting to charge the batteries. Jaguar also did well in the annihilator and then got destroyed in the gladiator, taking alex with me :D. tbsos also won a game of nuts mostly by luck but lost in the next round.

Thanks everyone for a great event! Especially to the Dennys for hosting, to Pete for giving me lifts and giving me a spare battery for Void, and to Alex for letting me use his drill & bits.

Also thanks to Rory for splitting Void in two to force me to stop being lazy and design the new one. I think it was apparent that it was definitely showing it's age! Entropy was fairly naff, but I expected that; it was mostly just for me to get used to what I could do with my printer, as well as being a test bed for having articulated track "pods", and they seemed to work really well...when they weren't in the path of the disk.

See you all next time!

It was Bad Idea who also gutted Entropy at the Wales event last year I believe... It's slowly working it's way through your team Scott :L

This is why i entered Jaguar into the annihilator and gladiator, and it may have done the trick :D
(though i am still tempted to be lazy and put the parts back into the tin as nothing was damaged beyond repair except the power switch)

Huge thanks to the dennys for hosting the event. It was a really fun event and I loved the time we had for all the side events. There was some great fights and I even managed to lose to my own robot! :D

Hopefully all the spinner damage wasn't a costly repair despite the amount of damage dished out, notably bad ideas performance. Test Robot Please Ignore somehow didn't explode itself... This is a shocking developement and I've already half sawed through the mounts to prepare it for the next event, entropy did do some nice weight saving at the back of the robot though. :D

The highlight for me was definitely Rorys face at the end of the Nuts final...

Thanks for a great event! :D

Awesome to see everyone again. It was great to finally get a bit further with one of my robots (still can't believe I came 3rd with Doktor Power!) but unfortunately the other 3 didn't win a single fight! So irritated with those so I think AntWithTopHat needs some improving in terms on drivability but I think the 4 bar lifter is an OK concept, GiANT is now a bit more destroyed than before and just as ineffective so a definite rethink there and Sir Stampfoot was so ridiculous I think he'll have to remain on the team for the comic value, hopefully joined again by a slightly improved Li'l Yoink. Doktor Power is being rebuilt as it has serious reliability issues which cropped up before and after every single fight such as a motor losing power, the whole thing not responding at all or just complete loss of power inside altogether. I think some nice new solder joints and it should be better than ever; I was only running on 3 wheel drive during the nuts and football!

Loved the annihilator and gladiators as well as the nuts competition. Overall, fantastic event like usual and can't wait for the next one!
