Yeah, entries are looking a bit thin in the ground. I've not even entered yet...

If anyone isn't entering because they don't want to commit to a particular robot, then feel free to enter as "Robot 1" etc... Or you can change them on the day. But please do sign up so we have an idea of numbers.

Just had a look at the signup list and somethings has gone wrong with the third entry.
I think it should have been The Zoni clusterbot.

Yeah, that's fine, entries can be finalised on the day. The entry form was just to get a rough idea of numbers.

Hi all,

As it's less than 2 weeks until the event, I've now updated the first post of this thread with some extra info. Mainly directions and offers of lifts for anyone using public transport.

Also, I wanted to sound you all out about the entry fee. As Andy and Scott are hiring a van to get their arena down here, I was hoping to cover as much of their costs as possible. So I was thinking of a £5 entry fee? It's a bit steeper than I was hoping as sign-ups are still quite low. Any objections?

Cheers,

Rhys

I assume that is per team in which case its fine but if it is per robot some of the younger ones might find it a bit steep.
Well worth it if it saves me lugging my arena around.

Oops, I did indeed mean £5 per team. I didn't even consider people would think it would be £5 per robot!

Given the limited flight times and the relatively small number of people, I'm guessing we'll be doing other events during the day?

Well the plan was that with no drop-offs, the event would last longer than usual. But the low number of entries means we'll probably be wrapped up very early.

I've not got anything definite planned as I don't know how much spare time we will have, but we should have time for the usual tag team, robot roulette & annihilatior etc.

We have the hall until 5pm, so if there's any time after all the above, then I'm open to suggestions for anything else we can do. Or we could just have an early finish, I know it's quite a trek for some of you.
