Model Engineer Show, Surrey 13-15 Dec 2013

Post by petec »

I got this last night, would you believe:

We have discovered your robots at he Brighton Maker Faire and we'd like to invite you to an event we're organising mid-December.

We are running a show with 25 Makers displaying 3D Scanning/Printing/Craft/Electronics, which would be one area as part of the Model Engineers Exhibition, an event which involves hundreds of stands with the whole community of modellers and engineers (bringing steam engines and weird machines, including some from Australia...) and some of the best engineers in the UK. We are expecting about 1800 visitors.

We realise this is a very short notice but if available would you be interested by a stand to demo your robots and products? (stands are free obviously in case this wasn't clear!).

When:
10am to 5pm on 13-14-15 December (you can join for only one day if you want)

Where:
Sandown Park - Esher Surrey (25min outside London) here is the link:

Is anyone available to do one or more days for this? Looks like it would be really good and would be good exposure for ants but a bit of notice would have been nice :-)

Rather short notice and the weekend James is coming home from Uni so I won't be able to make it. Hope a few people can give Dave some support.

If I'm the only one interested then I won't bother, I could do with saving the diesel right now.

Would have loved to go, but I'm in America then!
Is a nice place, I grew up round there.

I went to this event this morning just to look around and buy some bits.
I am not sure how many new members we would attract as while standing waiting to get in I seemed to be one of the youngest there.
I suppose being that Friday was both a school and work day may well have had an effect.
Although less well attended by both exhibitors and visitors than previous years it was still a good event especially for buying tools, metal and small screws.
