I remember that one quite well for some reason, for all the technological developments and the diversity of the competition some badly driven silver wedge won...:) The more the merrier, it'll be great to see everyone again and take down ideas while hopefully feeling more lucid than last time!

As for my plans for this time, they have quite inevitably dissolved into a mess of university work and various health issues, but The Hurting should be there and competing and hopefully doing better this time, while S. D. F., despite some sterling work by Harry in doing some milling for me, is probably going to have to wait until the summer due to time issues; in its place will be something built in one hour and tentatively called I Witnessed The Shocking Revenge Of Chickens From Outer Space!, whose existence will probably be shorter than the time taken to announce it.

I am still looking forward to this, even if with the Team Picus shirts being delayed I'll have to revert to knitwear again :)

My school robotics club has space for another robot, we'vr got a couple of people coming to watch ao would love to drive a robot, that is if you want a complete beginner to drive it.

Does anyone have a spare 35mm EDF fan I could use on Saturday, mine decided it was better flying across the floor in bits? I have ordered a spare from robotbirds but I don't think I am going to have it by Saturday.

Thanks,

I do have an EDF40H not in use yet but as the number suggests it is 40mm.

Hi Guys,

Here are all the details for Saturday

The event will be held in the Palmer Building, ground floor. The first event will start at 11am with the
main competition beginning at 12.30pm. There will be plenty of spectator space in the main lecture
theatre of Palmer and the event will also be streamed live on the Internet. There will also be some
static displays including one from the Reading Rep Rap group demonstrating their home build 3D
printers.

The event has been kindly sponsored by RoboLaw, an EU project which is investigating the impact of
the development of robotic technologies on the Law, and the Berkshire branch of the Institution of
Engineering and Technology, which has a remit to promote Engineering and Technology, especially
to younger people.

If you want to see last year’s event you can visit the YouTube Page

The event will be streamed live using uStream

Thanks

Will
