Beetleweight events coming soon!

Post by razerdave »

Hey guys
At long last the beetle weight FULL COMBAT arena will be put to use and its new owner (Shane Swan of Air/Envy fame) will be bringing it to the FRA Heavyweight champs at Deeside in September, so I am posting here to gauge interest of potential beetle builders and to let you know that, with the arena now active, so is the weight class :)

I will be making on my own beetle shortly and I would encourager others to do the same :)
Rules for beetle weights are the same as featherweights but with a 1.4kg weight limit (rounded up from 1.365kg (3lbs)).

Hey guys!

The arena is confirmed as attending the HW champs at Deeside, so anyone that wants to compete, bring them along!

I'm actually pretty tempted by the weightclass in the light of all the interest on the FRA forum. Might give it a go, I will be free that weekend and haven't been to any heavyweight events in so long. Will there be featherweights there too?

Before you criticize another person, first walk a mile in their shoes. Then, when you critisize them, you'll be a mile away and have their shoes.

The tape is slightly to hold it together, but mostly to illustrate where the pollycarbonate will be cut off, the sign was just for a laugh, there is a proper logo being made.

Oh, and antweights are welcome to use this arena too if its free....if they are man enough :P

I am interested. Although I can imagine its going to turn into uber silly spinners due to a lack of pit. Having said that there are lots of off the shelf electronics that could make this almost as cheap as ants. I am thinking a 9 times scaled up nom nom nom :)
