Thanks to everyone for a great day yesterday, especially Rhys and the others who made everything run so smoothly. The Antlog system seemed to work exceptionally well, and it definitely seems like it will make running events smoother and easier.

Congratulations to Peter for winning the fleas, and congratulations to all the runners up in the competitions as well. I echo the sentiments that John's driving was superb yesterday, so that was a well deserved award.

I'm still somewhat surprised with Void's performance. I think I was a bit fortunate with how the brackets played out; if I'd had to fight any of the really fast manouverable robots, I think they would've easily managed to get around my slow speed and gain the advantage. That said, I'm exceptionally happy with how well the shape worked and the power of the flipper, so thankyou for all the congratulations.

Next time Void should have a better drive system, and I'm intending to have a brand new spinner, the likes of which has never been seen before. Do we know when and where the next one is going to be held?

Thanks again to everyone!

Many thanks to Rhys who hosted the event and preparing the certificates. my robots were relatively successful, ant2d2 came second in the non spinners tournament and the tag team in which defiant partnered it. thanks to everyone who turned up and everyone who helped me develop my knowledge of robot technology. every battle was good especially ant2d2 vs. ant clank. as well as competing with my own two ants, peter was kind enough to let me drive his nano weight as part of combat cluster. the tag team was probably my favourite event. :D

Dan
Daniel Jackson.

Team Hectic.

Many antweights

Super antweights: territorial.

Fleaweights: fleadom fighter, gaztons.

Featherweights: hectic (under construction)

Adding to the chorus of thank-you's to Rhys - there's no AWS without a willing volunteer to run it.
No-one was more relieved than I that AntLog worked OK :)

My driving was predictably awful - at least it meant some people got an easier passage to the later rounds... ;)
James and Bethany did much better with AntLifter and Shadow respectively so all in all we had a good day.

Apart from the epic AWS final final, surely the highlight of the day was the comedy robot melee. Such a shame Egg-Man wasn't there to join in the fun!

Many thanks for an excellent AWS, everyone involved made it such a great day.
Plenty of food and coffee too! much appreciated.
I even got to drive Ant Clank in the tag team challenge.

John has got everything ready to take to school tomorrow, I don`t think the teachers know whats about to hit them :D

I`m working through the videos ready to upload them (I`m still uploading Newport from the week before) but everything should be on soon.

Here is the final hopefully...

New projects are on the way, 'Woody Woodpecker' crusher and 'Will it blend?' hopefully something a bit different.

I was talking to someone who had some really neat little plastic fasteners they were using to hold on the robot body panels but I cant remamber who.
If this rings a bell with anyone could you please post a link to them.
