Cheeky! Yes, we do have an airport... Just about. You can fly into Cardiff, but it might work out cheaper to fly to bristol and get a train to Cardiff.

If you get stuck for a venue any time then I can get one where I work for free.
It's at a place called Mira ltd. near Nuneaton (CV10 0TU). It's not massive but should hold about 80 people and there are power points spread around. No local shops though.

OK for us, and happy for you to host it Rhys, you should know where to ask if you want any help ;)

Dave: According to James' Uni friends it is cheaper to fly from Belfast to Bristol and get the train, rather than flying to Cardiff :-? Of course YMMV...

Good date for me too, might as well stay a week in Wales because the Newport event is the week before :)

Ah yes, Dave, I was planning on bringing my first featherweight in over a decade to that event, so you can show me the ropes, I'm a bit rusty with the bigger robots.

As for the AWS, as it seems like a good date for everyone so far, I'll book it tomorrow and start a proper thread with a lot more info.

A week in South Wales? Are you sure you wouldn't prefer Germany?

Is the 27th July confirmed yet?
If so can you please give the address of the venue as the link isn`t very clear (gives different results on my phone to my pc for some reason)
Thanks
John

Hi John,

Yes, the 27th has now been confirmed, pending a visit from me to the centre to make sure its up to the job (but I've been there before so I'm quite confident). I'm going to start a new thread for AWS 41 when I get home from work this evening with more details about locations/directions, requests for help/arenas etc... But in the meantime the address is:

Graig-y-Rhacca Community Centre
Addison Way
Graig-y-Rhacca
Machen
CF83 8WW

Its about 10 minutes from junction 28 of the M4.
