Robots Live! - Snibston Discovery Park - 28th December 2010

Post by razerdave »

Hey guys

Snibston has been booked for the Bank holiday and we're invited again, same room as last time with the RL crew upstairs doing their Pay-to drive robots and static heavy display. We had good fun at this event last time around and we got a nice audience, so hopefully we can do it again (and my robots won't get written off again :P.

Address is:

Ashby Road, Coalville, Leicestershire, LE67 3LN

Regards
David

Cool. We'll be there.

Shall we have a formal competition?

Simon

And thanks for making this happen Dave, you're a star.

I'm definitely going :) should be a fun day and I might well be able to drive myself...with any luck I can see the museum this time too, hehe.

We can make it a formal competition, but I wouldn't dismiss any run all day robots being there in case we have any epic failiures and we need a fight to keep the pace up :)

Just a reminder. All antweight roboteers are invited.

Snibton is an excellent location for an antweight event (if you don't mind the public having access to us - on the other side of a barrier of course).
  • Central location
    Parking is good
    It's free
Our own large room, just for us, with the rest of the large "foyer" area given over to static heavies / featherweights and pay-to-drive.
    Cafe onsite
    Cool giftshop
A stream of interested members of the public asking questions
It's in a museum (which you would have to pay to get into) with some great exhibits - if you have the time!
Lots of power sockets and tables and chairs
A big screen showing the action
    A trophy for the winner

I should be OK for this one but we will need more entries if we want to run actual combat for the day. It really is a good venue with a very enthusiastic audience if last time is anything to go by.
