That's one way of putting it. :P

I don't seem to have the football results so maybe Simon or someone else can put them up.

It was good to see some of the young ones winning namely Alasdair and Nathan. I should have mentioned in the results that although Dynamite won the non spinner event it was Nathan driving it.
My spinners did better than usual and it wasn't until I was unloading the car this morning that the real reason dawned on me. The were no major gouges in the arena maybe my attempts to make them more stable are finally starting to have an effect. I cant remember flying out of the arena once but I will need to check the video to be certain.

Lots of fun and the first time any of my robots have been almost completely destroyed (thanks to Militant again)
Lets remind ourselves of that...

it was

best engineered- MANTis
best driver- Me!
Best Looking- Robot of the Opera
best rookie- Jordan

It was a very good event, and i think that i took enough damage to earn that many certificates! MANTis' battery connection severed, and his front carbon fibre scoop destroyed. TruANT, well. It only looked like he had lost a wheel (which we were prepared for this time), but the damage was a bit more long term. The brushless motor that was not powering a spinner was damaged to. It is an outrunner, and the base buckeled and jammed the outside of the motor, beyond repair. Oh and one of the motor shafts is at an angle. Thats all!

We plan to re-build him, taking all the Alu out for HDPE and enclose the wheels inside the chassis. We needed to buy another brushless cause we only had one prop adapter (to fix the spinners onto the motors) (we broke one, because it was only partly threaded, and when we tried to thread it, it was crushed)

I do not mind that much, i find it quite fun seeing my robots 'knocked around' a bit!

Congrats to peter for besting me with variant, and joey (again) with jigsaw(speedway). (we came together and owned the football though!)

Thats enouugh about me, lets hear your thoughts guys!
