Event in Walsall/Aldridge in early October

Post by Team Terror »

Hi Everyone :)
My family and I are planning to host an antweight robot event in Walsall or Aldridge in late September/early October. Nothing has been booked yet, but we have looked into booking a scout hut in Aldridge, but I wanted to find out if anyone would be interested in coming before we book it?
Thanks,

Hi Jack, sounds good, I'll give my usual reply: let me know when and I'll let you know if we can.

4/5 Oct is Roaming Robots, personally 10th or 11th October is good for us.

same here, I'll be in portsmouth the first weekend of October, but I'm free the weekend after (although my parents will probably bug about me having an event on my birthday (10th Oct))

I'd definitely be up for it, date depending (my only no-go day would be Reading, and since you're presumably going to RRc that wouldn't be an issue :P)

Hi,
The most popular date so far seems to be 10th October, so chances are I will host it then, but I want to see if it gets any more interest first.

i probably wont be able to make it :(

1: im hoping to go to Portsmouth and reading, both being in October im already trying hard to convince mum to drive us there and back...twice, so 3 might just be a bit o.t.t (at least for my parents :P

2: rfrc and aws are hovering around that time, with all the effort already needed my parents might be a bit robot-ed out :( *shock-gasp-horror*

3: bit far for little ol' me :(

It's a pity you can't make it, Jack, it would be good for you to be there. :(

Hi everyone,
I have been thinking and I have decided that I should postpone this event until next year, I didn't really give you guys enough time to make arrangements, etc, and as Jack said, there are a lot of other events going on at that time, so maybe it's best to leave it till next year.

Perhaps you could co-host AWS31 with a more experienced roboteer?
