Robot Rumble Brentwood 2nd May 2010

Post by Simon Windisch »

Just an early notice that these will be the dates of the 10th annual Robot Rumble. It was my first ever event that we attended as fans (in 2003) and we've been going ever since.

Hopefully we'll still have Dave's magnificent arena, which is a replica of the larger Roaming Robots arena, and RR will be using a feed from our arena camera onto the big screen. Geoff Thorpe is keen to promote antweights and many of the HW teams younger members seem to interested in them, or are already building them.

OK, we're now a week away. I mistakenly thought this was a weekend event, it's just Sunday.

We'll be there, and so will the antweights of some of the heavyweight/featherweight teams.

This is the first robot show that we ever went to (back in 2002 I think) and we saw antweights there, so I've always got a soft spot for it.

I would have really liked to come but it's a bit far and I've only just noticed it. Maybe next year. :)

Before you criticize another person, first walk a mile in their shoes. Then, when you critisize them, you'll be a mile away and have their shoes.

I'll be there for this event and since I won't have Maelstrom with me i'll have a lot more time to run my ants (still got to fix them from Burgess yet though :) )

All being well I'll have 3 with me on the day

I know that :P
I just mean I'll be able to anticipate it and make an arrangement or two. :)
