Hardox comes in various grades, but hardox 400 has the minimum thickness of 3.2mm. Hardox 500 only starts at 6mm.

Some of you have already seen it in Reading as it was under construction, and at AWS21 only the discs were there, but now I present to you the finished Raptor-weight:

Image

Just over 4,5kg with everything attached. Many thanks to Dennis and Tim who helped me out with this project. I'm very pleased with the outcome.

Some specs:

3 Graupner SPEED 700 TURBO C 9,6 V (18A nominal 120A stall @ 9,6V)
3 RC-Smart 6-12V speed controllers 100A fwd/60A rev
9,6V IB4200 Nimh pack (might be swapped for a Lithium pack in future)
Spekrum DX6 and BR6000 RX/TX
High Density Polyethylene and Titanium armour
Modified Serpent RC car wheels

Now on to the Feather, light, middle and heavy version. :)
