can you get any holes in those? holes in the armour/base, possibly shorten wires, remove casings/heatshrinks

You could probably get away with minimal armour if it comes to it (the scoop seems to provide a lot of protection so only the front and side of the battery, plus possibly the back of the robot, are actually in real need of armouring).

Lego wheels are ok, it's just the tyres that weigh loads. Bin them if you can. Also, maybe get a 138mah lipo? Only 7g.

I've ordered some for a little project I'm working on. I'll let you if if they're any good. I'm sure on these forums have already tried them though.

Hey guys.

I've been rebuilding Little Devil properly and I've managed to install the servo and compact it all, and it comes to 75g...without the flipper :P I have to lose about 10g to get the flipper on (made from CF, muchos Gracias to Josh for that). I think I can do it, may involve a lot of holes, and I'm hoping 1mm circuit board weighs less than 2mm HDPE does :P.

On the plus side, I finally got LD to self right for the first time since I got it :P

I think the circuit board will be roughly half the weight of the hdpe, I imagine they are about the same density
