Needed: 38swg Enamelled Copper Wire

Post by thebeardedone »

Hi,

I am going to make a joule thief and so I am after a few metres of 38swg enamelled copper wire to make mini transformer. I thought I would try here before I went out a brought the full reel when I only require a small amount.

Any help would be appreciated,
Sam

I've got some 0.18mm, it's about 1/2 way between 36 & 37 swg.

Is that any good to you?

That would be perfect, Colin. I'll just use a slightly larger ferrite bead to make the transformer.

Do you require any costs?

Aha! Long story there ...

Basically, I booked the trip with my partner but we split up a few weeks before the flight, so she insisted that I take myself off the flight names so that she could take someone else. We are back together now but the damage had already been done so here I am in "sunny" Kent whilst she is in Vienna.

Bitterly, bitterly disappointed, to be honest.

On the plus side you'll have some wire in the post, I've still got your address somewhere.

You can look forward to the next UK event.

Colin
