my new heavy!

Post by Team Orr »

hi guys
for those who didn't pick this up through the fra,(http://www.fightingrobots.co.uk/forum.htm)there recently was a heavyweight (once known as golden-eye) for sale on ebay, well i won the auction 8) yay!

it currently weighs 120kg and has a petrol driven spinner so im gonna chop of the disk (1 to save weight and 2 because of safety) and turn it into a invertible pusher

god i have a load to do now! my ants, feather, shed, attic and now a heavy! but it was just to good to pass up lol! i payed ?125.98

have not decided on a name yet but mythras is the current favorite

regards and best wishes

Well good luck with the robot, and be very carefull, these things are not toys. Ive lost my fair share of blood in each one of mine.

hey hey!

a breif report

mithras has a new paint job ( bright red ) and we are discussing ideas for a weapon ( a flipper, disk and just keeping it as a pusher have all been popular)

Bright red is a good colour for a heavy weight here are a couple of shots of my old heavy before and after its paint job.

By the time I finished it a spike that could go through 1mm steel and covered in just 3mm aluminium armour it was already out of date even as far back as Aug 2000.
