i'll be interested to see what you come up with. If we get a proper arena, it might give me some motivation to build a proper competitor to represent me in the nanoweight class. :)
Daniel Jackson.

Team Hectic.

Super antweights: territorial.

Fleaweights: fleadom fighter, gaztons.

I have used something at my workplace which would be fantastic to use as a lowering arena pit, perhaps if you have some dimensions of the size of pit, i can mock something up here and make some? could have an automatic pit release firing it off too... This can also be scaled to antweight size... will make a prototype and gve it a go. just let me know a dimension.
Some projects done: Wirelessly controlled mechanical hand/arm
Heavyweight: Short Circuit
Antweight robot : Locking wheel nuts, dell-apidated bANTtry...
Featherweight : Wanna Choppa, CASPer

My calculator tells me 90x90mm should cover all nanos that don't fold out. :)

Was bored so did some rough CADing. base don peters ant arena but squared as it makes it friendlier to melees that we seem to have.

2 pits open, 2 with low slanted walls. Arena is 50cmx50cm which provides a good surface area to fight in while nanos are able to get at each other quickly.

I think it would be a great arena for nano fights and useful being self contained so non nano drivers could be doing other things in the main ant arena at the same time.
