That's looking great Pete, I'm starting to feel like I should give a nano-walker a go as well!

Re: Peter Waller Nano Adventures
Well I got the walking mechanism running or should I say bouncing at last.
It fits the cube but is 1 gm over which I am sure I can save but I can honestly say it is the most useless robot I have ever made.
Already thinking about the next version but for a laugh here it is in action.

If I was to grace it with a name it would probably be 'shaken but not stired' to fit in with Daves game.

Awesome! (Just carrying on with the theme :L)
But seriously that thing is hilariously great You gonna enter it on your team or are you going to try make a more practical version?

Re: Peter Waller Nano Adventures
Made various mods including smaller crankshafts with less throw, smaller batteries 2 x 60ma and new lighter shuffle plates.
This gives a much better action which although slow is useable.
All up weight is now just under 28 gms so almost 10 gms to play with if I decide to add any armour / weapons at a later stage.
Here it is up the right way.
Here upside down
Here it is in the now complete nano team
Here it is in action which has lost a a bit of the comedy appeal.

It's almost just vibrating along :L Are you using two cells just to get some more speed out of it?

Re: Peter Waller Nano Adventures
Dave I did say it had lost a bit of the comic appeal it doesn't flip on its rear any more.
Rory I took an old controller out of a previous version of Combatant which is a DT receiver with DT driver boards and a 5v regulator so it needs two cells to run.

Re: Peter Waller Nano Adventures
I have added a scoop to the walker but because of th cube restrictions it has to drop down when it starts.
It is held in the up position by a catch that is attached to one of the shuffle plates which releases when the robot moves.
Here it is with the scoop up.
Here with it down.
And here in action.

Even with a bit of brass in the scoop to ensure it drops properly it is still only 30 gms.
I have run out of numeric versions of Nano so I just going to call it ARENANOISE.
